SAW/RTW During Recovery: The Basics of Arranging Temporary or Transitional Work Assignments
In this webinar, Dr. Jennifer Christian provided a brief and basic overview of one of the major strategies for reducing work disability: temporary or transitional work assignments (TWA). She described why, when, and how to arrange and monitor TWA during the period while RETAIN participants are still recovering from their injury or illness. The webinar included an introduction to basic concepts and the role of the RTW Coordinator in facilitating TWA and will highlight teaching cases as examples to show how the process works, issues that often arise, and some strategies for getting around predictable obstacles.
